How to choose the size of your extensions?
Before choosing the perfect size for your extensions, you have to take into account what your hair length is.
To do this, you will have to measure your hair from the nape of your neck to the ends. On the sides, measure your hair 2 fingers above your ear to the tips.
At a minimum, for your natural hair to “cover” the union of the extensions, it will have to have a minimum length 10cm.
Take into account the cut of your hair, if it is too straight, you can adapt it so that it integrates better with the hair of the extension.
- We recommend that the size of the extensions not be much longer than your own hair, approximately double the size of your natural hair. Longer hair usually blends better with the extension hair.
- If the length of your natural hair is 25cm or more, you can choose any size we have at Play Extensions (40-45, 45-50, 60-65cm)
- If the length of your natural hair is less than 25cm, we recommend that you choose the shortest extension size, so that your hair adapts better to the extension and the cut is not noticeable.
How to choose the color of your extensions?
Before choosing the tone that best suits your natural hair, you have to take into account:
- Are you going to dye? Do it before choosing the color of your extensions.
- Look at the color always in daylight, avoid artificial lights since they can give a different hue.
- The color for your extensions will have to choose it by having the color of your tips. Because? As a general rule, extensions are to get length in your hair. To match the length of your hair with that of extension without color change, choose the most similar to the color of the tips. In this way there will be no color change.
- Take into account the color effect you want to achieve. Do you want to lighten your hair at the ends? Choose a color 1 or 2 shades lighter than your ends and another the same as your ends. We can mix extensions of different colors (for example: the lighter color on top, and the darker color on the bottom) and thus lighten the ends in a more gradient or more marked way.
